An intrepid reporter goes East to Westcliff?!

A fine ground out victory on the road for CS, though they made heavy weather of it, failing to convert the many chances they had to put the game away. Co-Captain Cameron Reed said afterwards that they liked to keep the travelling support interested to the last. Well, they certainly did that with Westcliff almost snatching a last gasp victory when it looked as if a try had been scored had it not been for a magnificent last ditch tackle by I think James Houston which saved the day! In fact the tackling was one of the highlights as CS were starved of ball for much of the second half but refused to let Westcliff make ground. Defence wins games? Well it certainly did this time, but I’m sure the attacking moves and improvement in the line-out will pay dividends in the upcoming matches.
